Is this a blog??

Hey Everyone,

Is this a blog? What is a blog? I'm not really sure just exactly what a blog is, but I've got 2 cents...

WOW - Is it really possible that it is 2007 ? - and a third of it is already gone!!

You may have noticed a lighter performance schedule so far this year and that was by design. I am working on some new songs and I can't wait to get started recording them. I also have a couple of other projects in the works that I will be talking about soon.

Other than that I've just been sitting around watching the world go by my window.

I can't believe we are into the 5th year of the War in Iraq with no end in sight. (Whatever happened to "Mission Accomplished?) So far we've lost over 3,000 Soldiers and I don't know how many thousands of wounded. Now, of course, at this point I could launch into a tirade about this administration's pack of lies that got us into this war in the first place and the pack of lies they have fed us for the last 4 plus years yada, yada, yada... but, that would serve no useful purpose.

WE NEED SOLUTIONS PEOPLE !! AND IT'S TIME FOR EVERYONE TO GET INVOLVED !!

More finger-pointing isn't going to help. We all know who got us here. At least now I think we can thankfully say that after the elections this past November, this administration is about as lame as a duck can be.

But we've got a lot more issues to tackle besides figuring out a way to get us out of Iraq. Although, that has to be the Number One concern.

Like, what are we going to do about immigration? What about health care costs and insurance? Or rising gas prices? Or how about some global issues like AIDS or that warming thing that everyone seems so hot on? How long are we going to stay dependent on fossil fuels? How long do you want me to make this list? Should I mention North Korea and Iran too? What about that good ol' standby Terrorism? What color is the Alert-O-Meter today??

So that's the easy part right? Anyone can ask the questions - The hard part is coming up with practical, viable, theories and solutions. And I'm not talking about some lame-ass political "declaration of war" on these issues. We need leadership that is going to reach out to the best minds from all sides of the issues and hammer out some real solutions.

Now, since I seem to be fresh out of viable theories, answers, and solutions to offer the country and the world I guess I am going to have to start paying attention to what some of the candidates are saying. And maybe even do a little research on them. Check out their websites and see what they are saying about these issues and see what people are saying about them etc...

I haven't decided who I will be backing and I am not going to tell you who you should support (not yet anyway) - BUT SUPPORT SOMEONE!! Get involved. Let's get as many people as we can talking about the issues we face and maybe we can affect some progress.

So there you have it - my two cents worth. Or was it a blog? Is a blog worth 2 cents? Geez so many issues.

...to be continued...

Peace and Love,
Jim
